Dog Agility Equipment | Responsible Dog Park To Hold Walk

COLUMBUS - Fido will have a public place to run and play if a group of dog lovers go ahead with their plans.

Over the last couple of years, the Columbus Park cortex Committeehas been pushing to establish an off-leash dog park. His effort latestpromotional freewill donation will be a morning walk ofJune 4 from Wildlife Park trailhead.

The tour will coincide with the Columbus Area Recreational Trail (CART) the dedication of Route WhiteTrail Monastery and Robert the same day. The money raised from the walk will fund towardthe Park cortex.

The local park in the cortex, to be called "Wiggly Field," doesn 'Thaver a house yet. Sharon Raimondo, secretary of the Columbus BarkPark Commission, said some sites have been looked at, most of the land owned by notablyis Loup Public Power District.

"We" have had conversations with Loup and haven 't told us "no", however, "said Raimondo.

Hopes are to build a dog park at least one acre of a park and set Landata. Once the group has the property, moreawareness and fundraising will take place. Between $ 5.000 - $ 10.000 will be needed for the park, according to the amountof fencing to be installed, Raimondo said.

Like other dog parks in Grand Island, Norfolk and Lincoln, theColumbus group wants to have a fenced in piece of land where dogowners can bring their pets. Dogs must be able to run andplay loose with other dogs, and owners would be able to exercise too, Raimondo said. Some parks are also adding agilityequipment dog.

The group from the bark of the park has had the help of antiretroviral therapy promotionand finances. .

Registration for the walk will start at 8:30 am with the walkstarting at 9 am Participants will walk the trail around theWilderness Park Road Soccer Complex Monastery.
